MICHAEL

Sports Recovery Specialist, Stretching Specialist
 

Michael is a Sports Recovery Specialist with a strong foundation in kinesiology and exercise science, earned through a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, Michael played basketball throughout his childhood and developed a deep understanding of the physical demands of sports. This background fuels his passion for helping athletes recover effectively, optimize performance, and stay injury-free.

When not focused on recovery, Michael enjoys bow hunting and rifle hunting in the great outdoors, activities that connect him to the natural beauty of Hawaii. Now based in Washington, Michael is excited to bring his expertise to the Pacific Northwest and help local athletes enhance their recovery and performance.

KARMELAH

Sports Recovery Specialist, Group Instructor, Correctives Specialist

Karmelah is a former Division I basketball player, psychology major, and current high school and 15U AAU coach with a passion for athlete recovery and mental performance.

 

Raised in Seattle, Washington, she competed in one of the region’s toughest high school circuits before playing at the College of Southern Idaho and Northwestern State University, where she averaged over 10 PPG her senior year.

​

Having overcome injury herself, Karmelah blends athletic experience, coaching insight, and a psychology background to help athletes recover, grow, and perform at their best.

ELAINA

Sports Recovery Specialist, Stretching Specialist
 

Elaina is passionate about helping people feel better in their bodies and experience the freedom of pain-free movement. With a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, she brings a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and recovery techniques, along with over 500 hours of hands-on experience performing assisted stretching.

Elaina believes recovery is about more than just techniques—it’s about caring for the whole person. She takes a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach with each client, focusing on both improving how the body moves and helping people better understand their own bodies. Her goal is to create a supportive, trusting environment where clients feel listened to, cared for, and encouraged on their path to better movement and overall well-being.

JENNY

Owner, CSCS, Sports Recovery Specialist

Jenny founded CrossFunction with the Passion to help people recover and prevent injury. She has a B.S. at U Oregon (Go Ducks), has been a Movement Specialist for over 20 years, and been on Team USA for multiple national and international Sports Medical assignments, working with the top athletes in the world. 

 

Jenny has helped thousands of athletes, weekend warriors, and dedicated desk jockeys recover from injuries, prevent injuries, and perform their best.

 

When she is not at the office, you will find Jenny on top of mountains, singing in the local choir, cheering at sporting events, being a caddy for her husbands' disc golf tournaments, and doting on any cats that pass by her way.

Rob

Rob Mapes is an avid disc golfer who has been playing since 2017. Over the past two years, he has placed in the top 5 of his division over 15 times. Rob is a proud member of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA), #100338. When he's not playing disc golf, Rob loves to explore the great outdoors by climbing mountains throughout the Pacific Northwest. With his passion for both disc golf and nature, Rob is always up for a new challenge and adventure.
